Daily Solitaire Challenge
Every day brings 3 new deals, one Klondike, one FreeCell and one Spider. Everyone plays the same cards on the same day, so you can compare your result with friends or with the daily leaderboard.
A new set of deals starts at midnight UTC, which is early evening in North America and morning in much of Asia. Every daily deal has a known solution, so each one can be won. You can play them in any order, and you can come back to any you missed.
How to Start Today's Deals
Press one of the buttons above, or open the menu in any game and choose Daily Challenge. The panel has a tab for each game with today's deal, your streak and a calendar. In Klondike you can also choose Daily challenge in the New game menu. If you leave in the middle, your daily game is saved on your device and waits for you.
The Rules for Each Daily Deal
The Klondike daily always uses Turn 1 and Standard scoring, so everyone is scored the same way. The FreeCell daily uses the standard game with 4 free cells. The Spider daily is Spider with 2 suits, hearts and spades. If you need a refresher first, the Klondike rules guide, the FreeCell guide and the Spider guide cover every move.
Unassisted and Assisted Results
A daily win counts as Unassisted when you finish without Hint, Undo, Auto finish, Show next move or Play it out. Those are the wins that go on the daily leaderboard when you are signed in. You are welcome to use the tools while you learn a deal. The game is then marked Assisted and saved to your own history.
Finishing a deal with Play it out is treated as practice. It does not count as a win and does not keep your streak going. If you want to improve your daily results, the Solitaire strategy guide is a good next read.
Streaks and the Calendar
Your streak counts the days in a row on which you won a daily deal. Miss a day and it starts again from zero, while your best streak stays on record. Winning any one of the 3 deals keeps the streak going for that day. Each game's tab in the Daily Challenge panel has a calendar that marks the days you won, and you can open any earlier date to play that day's deal.
If you are signed in, your daily history is kept with your account and follows you to other devices. If you play as a guest, it stays in the browser on this device.
Why Every Daily Deal Can Be Won
Plenty of shuffled Klondike deals cannot be won at all. That is fine for a casual game, but it would make a poor daily challenge, so every daily deal is picked from deals with a known solution. Sharing a Daily Deal
You can share a daily deal from the Daily Challenge panel. The link includes the date, so the person you send it to gets the same cards and rules even if they play later. It does not reveal your moves.
Daily Challenge Questions
What time does the daily challenge change?
At midnight UTC. Everyone in the world moves to the new deals at the same moment.
Can I play yesterday's deals?
Yes. Open an earlier date in the calendar and play its deals at any time.
Do daily deals ever repeat?
No. Each date has its own deals, and you will not find the same Klondike, FreeCell or Spider deal on two different days.
Do I need an account?
No. You can play every daily deal as a guest. An account keeps your streak and history across devices and puts your unassisted wins on the daily leaderboard.
