Terms of Service

These Terms of Service are the agreement between you and Solitaire.cx, the website at solitaire.cx, for your use of the site and the games on it. By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site. We have kept them in plain language on purpose, so they are easy to read.

1. The service

Solitaire.cx provides free solitaire and other card games that you play in your web browser. There is nothing to download and no payment to play. We may add, change or remove games and features at any time, and we may take the site offline for maintenance or for any other reason.

2. Who can use the site

You need to be old enough to agree to these terms where you live, or have a parent or guardian agree for you. The games are made for a general audience and are not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them, as explained in our Privacy Policy.

3. Accounts

You can use the site without an account. If you choose to create one, you agree to give accurate information and to keep your login details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend or close an account that is used to break these terms, to abuse the site or to interfere with other players.

4. Fair use of the site

You agree to use the site only for playing the games and reading the guides. You agree not to do any of the following. Interfere with or disrupt the site, its servers or other players. Use bots, scripts or any kind of automation to play games, submit scores or scrape content. Attempt to break, probe or get around the security of the site. Copy, scrape or republish the site, its code or its content for your own service. Use the site to break the law or to infringe anyone's rights.

5. Leaderboards and fair play

Some games keep leaderboards. Games played with help, such as hints, undo or auto finish, are marked as assisted and are kept separate from clean games where that matters. We may review, adjust or remove any submitted result that appears to be automated, falsified or otherwise not a genuine game, so that the boards stay fair for everyone.

6. Ownership

The site, including its software, design, text, guides, images and the Solitaire.cx name and logo, belongs to us or to our licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. The card games themselves are classic games that anyone may play, but our particular implementation, writing and artwork are not free to copy. You may play the games and read the guides for your own personal use. You may not copy, republish, sell or build a competing service from our content without our written permission.

7. Signing in with other services

If you sign in using Google, your use of that service is also subject to Google's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for those services.

8. Links to other sites

The site and the guides sometimes link to websites we do not control, such as a research paper or a sign in provider. We add those links to be helpful, but we are not responsible for the content or the policies of sites we do not run. Visiting them is your own choice.

9. Privacy

The limited information the site handles is explained in our Privacy Policy and our Cookie Policy. By using the site you also agree to those, so they are worth reading.

10. The service is provided as is

We work to keep the site running well, but we provide it as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. We do not promise that the site will always be available, error free or free of interruptions, or that any score, statistic or saved game will never be lost. You use the site at your own risk.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Solitaire.cx will not be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of the site, including lost data, lost scores or lost time. Because the site is free to use, our total liability to you for any claim connected with the site is limited to the amount you have paid to use it, which is nothing. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under the law that applies to you.

12. Your responsibility

You agree to cover any loss we suffer that is caused by your misuse of the site or your breach of these terms, to the extent the law allows.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes or the law requires. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.

14. Ending your use

You can stop using the site at any time. We may suspend or end your access to the site or to an account if you break these terms.

15. If part of these terms cannot be enforced

If a court finds that any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest of them still apply. These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about the site. If we do not enforce a term straight away, that does not mean we give up the right to enforce it later.

16. Your local rights and disputes

Solitaire.cx is a free game used by people all over the world, so we do not try to force the law or the courts of any single country on you. Wherever you live, you keep the rights that the consumer protection laws of your own country give you, and nothing in these terms takes those rights away.

If something goes wrong, please write to us first at [email protected]. Almost everything can be settled that way, and we would always rather fix a problem than argue about it. If you are in the European Union and we cannot resolve it together, you can also use the European Commission's online dispute resolution platform.

17. Contact

Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected] or through the contact page.
